Security
Last updated: 15 October 2026
Umati lives at playumati.com and is run as a small hobby project. We take security seriously, while being honest that no website is ever perfectly invincible.
1. Your account and game room
Hosts sign in with a link sent to their email, so there is no Umati password for us to keep. Players can join with a temporary nickname; they do not need to give us their real name or email address to play.
2. Payments stay with Stripe
Host Pass payments happen on Stripe's checkout. Your full card details do not pass through or live on Umati's servers.
3. The people who host the site
We use Railway and Vercel to run Umati. They provide the underlying infrastructure that keeps the site and game rooms online. We use secure connections for the site, keep access to the project limited, and try to keep dependencies and services in good shape.
4. See something worrying?
If you spot a security problem, please tell us privately at support@playumati.com. Include what you saw and how to reproduce it if you can. Please do not access other people's data, disrupt a game room, or test by sending spam — a heads-up is much more helpful.
5. The honest bit
We do our best, but no internet service can promise absolute security or uninterrupted availability. If something goes wrong, we will investigate it and do what we reasonably can to fix it.
